| This attractive Roman glass piece is a double chambered vessel known as a "unguentarium". This piece dates circa 3rd-4th century AD and is approximately 4.5 inches high. This vessel is mint quality and is mounted on a custom plexiglas stand. This type of vessel held perfumes, essences, oils, and salves, for use in the baths. This piece is a blue-green aquamarine color and has gorgeous spotty silver iridescense. This vessel also has an intricate glass spiral wrapping that was spun around the main body below the added handles, thus giving this piece a great deal of eye appeal. This piece can also be easily be removed from the custom plexiglas stand, as it simply lifts off of the stand. Ex: Steve Rubinger, Antiqua Inc., Woodland Hills, CA. I certify that this vessel is authentic as to date, culture, and condition: | ||||||
