Intact & Rare Greek Ram-Headed Votive Rhyton

This rare & intact piece is a Greek rhyton that dates to the mid 4th century B.C., and is approximately 9.5 inches long, by 4.8 inches in diameter at the rim.  There is a detailed ram's head seen at the terminal end of this piece, and this piece was the Greek drinking vessel "par excellence", which was used at banquets, weddings, and driking parties.  This piece was also likely votive, and was created so the departed could toast the gods!  An exceptional and rare vessel type seldom seen on the market in it's natural "as found" condition.  $3,675.00.  http://www.apoloniagallery.com
